LibanCert / Quacerta is an Organic Inspection and Certification body that operates with Lebanese Professionally Qualified Staff; its Mission is to provide Organic Farming operators' (farmers, Processors, traders) organic certification services with affordable prices. It is a limited liability company, registered in the Lebanese Government under the no. 100 50 49.

Our Services

LibanCert will be able to provide Organic Operators a range of certifications recognized worldwide to its collaboration with an internationally Swiss Accredited certification Body bio.inspecta AG.

The Inspection and certification service are done in relation to:

Lebanese Organic Standards
European Regulation for Organic Farming, NOP - National Organic Certification Program;
Japanese Standards for Organic Farming, JAS Japanese Orga nic Certification Program;
Private Standards (e.g.Demeter, BioSuisse)
Global-GAP

Other services will also be provided:

IPM certificate
Input(Fertilization and Plant Protection Substances, e.g. Compost) approval
Training for operators, technicians and inspectors
Catering
Organic and Natural Cosmetics

Collaborations

LibanCert collaborates with FIBL the Swisss Organic Agriculture Research institute for consultancy services and with an internationally accredited Swiss Organic Certification Body, Bio Inspecta for re-certification services until it is Internationally accredited.
LibanCert is economically supported by SECO the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, for the first five years operations till it becomes self sustainable.

Permitted agents in organic farming

The catalog 2009 for approved inputs has been issued and can be obtained from the company's office.

LibanCert / Quacerta staff is currently working to renew this input list that will be edited at the end of the year 2010.
